BISHOP LEON & REV. JACQUELYN E. COLLINS

Bishop Leon Collins accepted the pastorate of Eastview Church of God January 1, 2012 following the pastorate of founder and builder, Bishop Zeke Grigsby.

Pastor Collins is an Ordained Bishop in the Church Of God, headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee. He joined this organization in 1972 and received his call to the ministry in 1973. He is now in his 50^th year of ministry and has served faithfully in various roles as a minister in his denomination. 

He has Pastored in Colorado, Washington State, and Dayton, Ohio. He served as a Youth Pastor and Evangelist in Montana.  In New Mexico, he served as Associate Pastor and State Evangelist and as an Evangelist in Texas and Southern Ohio. Other positions include Auxiliary Chaplain and Fellowship Director at Norvenich AB, Germany; Gospel Fellowship Leader, Shemya AFB, Alaska and Director of Black Ministries, Southern Ohio. 

Pastor Collins has two Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees and a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology. He is a retired Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor-Clinical Supervisor (LICDC-CS) and a Certified Substance Abuse Professional. He is also retired from the U.S. Air Force and Federal Civil Service.

Rev. Jacquelyn is a credentialed Exhorter in the Church of God and is in her 20^th year of ministry. She is the Associate Pastor and Church Administrator at Eastview Church of God. She serves beside her husband as a preacher, bible study teacher, and prayer warrior and oversee ministries and administrative functions in the church. She is a retired school teacher and has a Bachelor of Art degree and Teacher’s Certificate in Elementary Education.

 Pastor and Mrs. Collins have celebrated 50 years of marriage and have two married sons and seven grandchildren.   



Their life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine

own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
